Earth Dam and Spillway Project, Kearney, NE
The project involved the development of earth dam to store and pass 600 acres of storm drainage area upstream and creating a 10 acre lake in front of dam. An emergency spillway was constructed along with a primary spillway. We prepared letter of map revisions for FEMA to adjust floodplain limits on national maps as part of this project. Blakeman Engineering also obtained approvals from the State of Nebraska for constuction of a high hazard dam.
